HGV Driver – Hevey Northampton
We are currently recruiting an HGV Driver to join the team at our branch in Moulton Park, Northampton. You will be an integral part of a thriving, busy team, delivering building materials to our customers, loading and unloading safely and maintaining a high level of customer care and service.
Applicants should possess a current Class 1 or Class 2 (Cat C & E) licence. Ideally you will also hold a valid HIAB Crane Licence.
The daily duties of the job will be delivering building materials. You will occasionally be expected to assist in the yard and load your own vehicle – a forklift license would be an advantage.
Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7.30am-12.30pm alternate Saturdays

Requirements
- Valid HGV licence and clean driving record
- HIAB Crane license and experience
- Experience of working in a Builder’s Merchant
- Forklift license is an advantage
- A good understanding of relevant Health & Safety regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Flexibility to work long hours and weekends

Assistant Branch Manager - Huntingdon
We’re looking for a reliable and driven Assistant Branch Manager to join the team at Huntingdon Timber Supplies. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the day-to-day running of a busy, successful branch while developing your leadership skills in a respected merchanting environment.
Working alongside the Branch Manager, you’ll help oversee all aspects of branch operations—from sales and stock management to team supervision and customer service. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being involved in every part of the business.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with strong operational experience and leadership capability, ready to step up and take ownership when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily branch operations and team coordination
- Support stock control, transport, and purchasing processes
- Drive sales growth by engaging with customers and supporting the sales team
- Help ensure compliance with health & safety and company policies
- Support with HR responsibilities, including team development and performance
- Handle cash reconciliation, banking, and admin tasks as required
- Maintain high standards across the branch in service, presentation, and safety
